Misleading title.
I was just thinking, if I start acting like an ellistic prick, will I get more critiques from people that wish to put me back in my place?
I don't fish for faves nor do I bully people into OMG IF YOU FAV ADD A COMMENT or threathen bodily harm over a llama.

In other non-news, I am more than slightly peeved off against the entire universe, at least until I get ice cream in my system.

I wasted my entire morning on a comic page. I had the flats done, the shadows done and was working on the goddamn special effects, saving every 5 minutes... When Gimp fucked up.

AND not happy with fucking it, it corrupted the comic file. Because of course I thought about saving regularly to AVOID such bullshit it case crashing occurs, but Gimp was gonna have none of that planning ahead bullshit!

So now I get to start it AAAALLLL OVER after work tomorrow. UGH!!!

I'm busy with SEVERAL contest and projects whose deadlines are varying within THIS MONTH (as we speak I'm currently working on the next Mignonstre, Strukkur the shy turtle), this is why yesterday tons of people tried talking to me and I was all "GIT OFF MA LAWN YOU LIL WHIPPERSNAPPERS!" in my silence.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy... I ordered even MORE stuff off of DickBlick (no it's not a whine post for donations, that's why the flip I have a day job and save money for, after all) because I suddenly have 2, possibly 3 contests lined up and I want to be on my "A" game.
I got thick illustration paper to suffer the brunt of my frisket film use (mostly from my exacto blades) and transfer paper as well as a transferring tool, because thick paper wants nothing to do with a lighted table, at least I figure; the paper will be thicker than my good quality sketch card stock.

That awkward moment where you look at your paper collection and you pull out 10 pads of dollar store tracing paper. Oi.

Art sucks, but that's not the important part in this COLORING book. people complained it's a big book of copic ad. Yeah it's a copic ad. You can still use the techniques with other pens. Adjust, adapt!

This is one of the many reasons people don't believe in HTDM books anymore. There is nothing good in this. No, I don't own that one, I mean SERIOUSLY, I own sum pretty ugly stuff (refer to my collection of bootlegged ponies, Sailor Moon and Luigi keychains) but this went way past the so ugly it's cute threshold and fell right into FUCK NO territory.

This is how you can tell a GOOD drawing book, manga-american-german-australian-OTHERWISE, all style confounded, from a shitty one. The ones that give you examples to inspire yourself from, to draw from, not the ones that go step by step by step to reproduce an illustration.

I am sketching monsters I'm gonna needlefelt for the art store's June display. Waddya think of the name "Cute-sters" in english and "Mignonstres" in french for the series?

Of course, Petite Azule is in the lineup, but I've also got 2 other friends for her (so far) named Kipekee and Buri.

The reason I'm not doing Gaellic Imps for the store is cuz I'm trying to sell to kids and well, for those who know my stuff, Gaellic Imps are too skinny, scary, rude and not-so-kid-friendly as a whole.

Cute-sters are meant to be plump and round and bright and colorful, while at least trying to incorporate one "scary" element in them.  Petite Azule has big red eyes, Kipekee has one big giant one and Buri has fangs… Next critter will probably be mole-like to incorporate big claws in his/her design.

I'll probably mix n match their color scheme after I get a good number of characters, so it's possible to end up with a Yellow Petite Azule or a blue Buri (Buri is pink and purple).

So yeah, I just got my copy of Final Fantasy 4 Complete and this time around I'm switching my strategy to using elemental weapons as items as often as possible as well as using status/offensive items more.
It helps when the hit rate isn't GODAWFULLY ABYSMAL, but meh.

Oh, the rupee thing that has nothing to do with Final Fantasy seeing as rupees are the currency of Legend of Zelda?

You get a cute and or gory thing depending on your tastes and I get money towards repaying my dad for car repairs as well as art supplies refills. Everybody wins.

In other news, I plan to do a little doll self-portrait for my needlefelt portfolio avatar picture. I'd suggest to stay tuned at least starting at 5 PM my time, that's when I get off work.
I have so many wool skeins I don't remember half the colors I own, so hopefully there's a peach skein in there somewhere.
Since I love myself so much, I also have a new sketch card to do, inspired by Alkura's recent fanart up there. I think you'll enjoy it.
